Account ID filters don't save

When I try to create an analysis or publish a dashboard; if I filter a subset of all accounts, the new analysis or dashboards don’t save the filter. It still lists all accounts. Then I have to go to the drop down menu and reselect the subset of accounts I wanted to look at. How do I enable it so that the account filters I want, are saved so I don’t have to do it each time?

Hello @fishtaco84, welcome to the QuickSight Community! In this scenario, my best recommendation would be to create parameters that are set by a control that will then set your analysis and dashboard filters. This will allow you to set a default value to ensure that All options are not automatically selected on load. You can also utilize the checkbox to not allow select all as an option if a default value has been set! Here is a link to some documentation about this process. I hope this helps!

Thank you. What I ended up doing was going to edit parameter “AccountName” and set static default values. I set them to only the accounts I wanted. Now, when I change tabs or reload the page, it only shows the accounts I’m looking for.
