For the past few months, I have been using AWS QuickSight to monitor my device data. I hadn’t opened QuickSight for the last few days, and today when I checked my dashboard, I noticed that all the other visuals are working correctly, but the Points on Map visual is blank.
I also tried creating a new Points on Map visual, but it keeps loading for a few seconds and then stops without displaying any data points.
Has there been any recent change or modification in AWS QuickSight that could affect the Points on Map visual? If so, how can I get my data points to display on the map again?
Hi @akash.lakshmanan
Can you check how the geospatial field values show in a pivot table? I haven’t had any recent issues but there was something that happened sometime back where these field values were converted by a factor of 1000 in my dataset. I had to convert my values to meet the requirements of quicksight.
I think that it is something like that
Thanks for your quick response.
My latitude and longitude values are currently in the format shown below. Could you please let me know the exact format the Quick expects for the latitude and longitude fields?
Hi @akash.lakshmanan
Your latitude and longitude look OK to me. So there may be some other reason for your issue.
I justed check a Points on Map that we use and that seems to be working fine. So, I guess it is still something to do with data; but you may need some more digging to do.

Giri
