Error when trying to connect Asana to Quick Desktop

I am trying to connect Asana as a connector to my quick desktop app but am receiving the following error. How do I resolve?

Error

forbidden_scopes: Your app is not allowed to request user authorization for `default identity` scopes.

Hi @Sara_Osborne,

Nice seeing you back in the Quick Community! I believe this may be a configuration issue on Asana side. I would recommend checking to see if there is a Permission Scopes section within your Asana Developer Console, and see if you can toggle a permission such as “Default Identity.” Please let me know if this helps and if not we can explore other workarounds.

Thank you!

@WLS-Luis Thank you for the response. Unfortunately I am not seeing a permission scope section when I get into the Asana Developer Console when I go to Asana>Settings>Apps>View Develop Console. Do you have another suggestion?

Hi @Sara_Osborne,

Thanks for the clarification! After further looking into Asana documentation, I believe this should help you find where the Permissions scopes section is. Specifically, once you go into the app that you intend for the Quick Desktop connection, there will be a “OAuth” option where you should be able to access and define permissions from there. Please let me know if this documentation helps and if it ultimately establishes the Asana connector!

Hi @Sara_Osborne,

Just checking back in since this thread hasn’t received a response in a while. Was my reply helpful to you and/or were you able to find a solution yourself in the meantime? Please help the community by marking this answer as “Solution” or following up in general within the next 3 business days!

Thanks!
