Feature Request: Dynamic Custom Font Support for Branding

I’d like to request support for custom font families that can be applied at the dashboard level, beyond the currently available predefined options.

Specifically, it would be incredibly valuable to:

  • Allow authors to upload or reference custom font families for use across dashboards

  • Enable parameter-driven font selection, so fonts can dynamically change based on viewer context or branding requirements

Use case: For teams embedding dashboards or supporting multiple clients, this would allow a single dashboard to flex across different brand standards (e.g., switching fonts by client or business unit) without duplicating content.

While QuickSight already supports font family selection, sizing, and styling to improve readability and branding consistency, extending this to dynamic and custom font control would:

  • Unlock true multi-tenant / white-label dashboarding

  • Improve brand alignment in embedded and client-facing experiences

  • Reduce duplication and maintenance overhead across dashboards

This would be a high-impact enhancement for teams like mine, who use QuickSight in client-facing or embedded scenarios.

Hi @NickA,

Good to see you back in the community!

You’re right that QuickSight currently only supports a predefined set of font families and there’s no way to upload custom fonts or drive font selection dynamically via parameters. For now, I believe the closest workaround for multi-tenant branding is to use Quick Sight’s theme functionality, you can create different themes per client with different font/color combinations and apply them programmatically via the embedding SDK when rendering the dashboard. This at least lets you swap styling per tenant at embed time without duplicating the dashboard itself. I don’t think it will let you use truly custom fonts, but it gives you some brand differentiation across the available font options.

Here is a link about customization in Quick Sight, I think it might be useful for this use case. Customize the look and feel of Amazon Quick Sight embedded dashboards and visuals - Amazon Quick

For the feature request, thanks for using the correct tag on your initial post, I’ll go ahead and archive this so the AWS team can take a look.

Hope this helps!
