I need to bring to your attention that in our analysis, we have a 2-page summary and details. On the summary page, I’ve set up navigation actions in some of the visualizations to move from the summary page to the detail page.
In the navigation action, I’ve passed a parameter called “purse name.”
The navigation action works fine, but when we return to the main page, I encounter an error. This error occurs when I filter the purse name using the parameter name on the summary page.
Hi @achourey,
Are the visuals on your summary sheet setup to filter by the parameter as well?
Also, It looks like the visuals are providing an error regarding a calculated field syntax; are they utilizing a calc. field that includes the parameter in discussion?
No, I am not using any cal field, we just applied the filter using the same parameter for all the visualizations.
I am creating an additional page and applying a parameter as a filter for all the visualizations. When I navigate from the summary to the detail page, the navigation works fine. It also works fine when I move to the second page. However, the page from which I navigated to the detail page is where I am encountering the issue.
something is happening in navigation only because it is working for the page where the same filter is applied why not on the summary page ??
Hi @achourey,
Ok, so you’d like the parameter control to filter the summary page as well as the detailed page or no?
Are the visuals receiving the error using the field that you have setup as the parameter?
This may be easier to assist further if you could upload your analysis with sample data to QuickSight Arena so that I can see the behavior of your visuals and parameter.
