I have setup SSO with Microsoft Entra. The users are added to different users in entra. to have various permissions. The authenticated users will be assumed a role based on their permission. But still, now I have to manage the access to dashboard or data sources for that users from the Quick console. Is there any other way to manage that?
We have a similar setup. While the SSO enables the user to get into QuickSight with the required permissions; the access to the Dashboard itself depends on the organization of the users into User Groups in QuickSight.
That bit is something we still do in QuickSight. Not sure if there is a way to handle that as part of setting the trust relationship with Entra.

So, are you saying that permissions for data sources and dashboards need to be managed within the QuickSight console itself, and that they cannot be integrated or controlled through SSO?
I have another question as well. Ie need to assign different QuickSight roles to users, such as Admin, Admin Pro, Reader, and Reader Pro. Since users are automatically provisioned in QuickSight when they sign in via SSO for the first time, how can these roles be assigned and managed?
