Hi Quick Community,
I’m looking for guidance on getting the Quick Outlook Add-in to work across multiple Microsoft tenants.
My Setup:
-
I have Quick Suite Pro access through my Amazon org
-
I have the Quick Outlook Add-in installed and working in my Amazon mailbox (amazon.com tenant)
-
My primary working mailbox is on a separate Microsoft tenant (Whole Foods / wholefoods.com)
-
I’m in a TMS Business Partner role with heavy email volume
The Problem: The Quick Add-in only appears when I’m working in my Amazon tenant inbox. When I switch to my Whole Foods inbox in Outlook, the add-in disappears and I can’t access any Quick AI features (drafting, summarizing, policy lookups, etc.).
I also confirmed that the chat-based email integration in Quick can’t access my Whole Foods mailbox — it returns a “not found” error, likely due to the cross-tenant boundary.
What I’ve Tried:
What I’m Looking For:
-
Has anyone successfully configured the Quick Outlook extension to work across multiple Microsoft tenants?
-
Is there a way to get the add-in deployed on a secondary tenant (e.g., through the Whole Foods M365 admin)?
-
Are there any workarounds others have found for this scenario?
-
Who is the right contact to request cross-tenant add-in deployment — Quick Admin, M365 Admin, or both?
This is a significant workflow gap for me since I rely on Quick for policy responses and email management, but my heaviest email volume is in the tenant where the add-in isn’t available.
Thanks in advance for any insights!
Hi @bradhartley and welcome to the Quick Community!
From what I can tell, Microsoft Outlook add-ins are scoped to the tenant they’re deployed on, so the Quick add-in installed on your amazon.com tenant simply doesn’t exist on the wholefoods.com tenant (Amazon Quick Microsoft Outlook extension (Preview) — docs). Same story with the chat-based Outlook connector; it authenticates to one M365 tenant at a time using a specific tenant ID (Microsoft Outlook integration — connector setup). I believe there currently is no feature today that supports a single Quick account bridge across both tenants.
In theory, your Whole Foods M365 admin could deploy the add-in separately on that tenant (Amazon Quick Outlook extension author guide), but I honestly couldn’t confirm and do not think it would successfully authenticate back to your Amazon-org Quick subscription from a different tenant.
In terms of what I can do, I can mark this post as a ‘feature-request’ and that can help increase visibility to the Quick team. One thing else you can do is potentially create a support ticket and the support team may be able to give more information on this instance (Case management - AWS Support). Lastly, in terms of who to contact internally, it could be both your Quick Admin or your M365 Admin because this instance is covering both environments. However, I would say this leans more towards the Quick team as this feature may not be developed yet or since the Quick Outlook extension is still in Preview, this could be something that gets added down the line.
I hope this helps and answers your questions!
