I have a dashboard in Quickight and I am trying to create a Flow that would run every time this dashboard refreshes Quicksuite would analyze the dashboard and give me an AI summary of the changes, trends in the dashboard. But when i connect the dashboard to Quicksuite even though the i have the latest available week’s data in the dashboard, it always tell me the latest data is 2025 Week 37 and give me analysis of that week. I cannot overcome this issue and I cannot understand why even though there are newer data in the dashboard it is not able to retrieve it
Hi @Deniz_Arberk and welcome to the Quick Community!
That is a cool use case you are trying to do. Since you say that the data is properly appearing on the dashboard, then the source of the problem is in how the flows is retrieving the data. My one initial thought for this is do you have to change any filters to show the latest data on the dashboard? The ability for the Quick models to interact with filters on a dashboard has been a highly requested feature that I do not believe that have added yet; therefore, if you need to get to your latest data through a filter then the model may not be able to it.
Moreover, are you specifically calling out for the latest data in your prompt for your flows step? Sometimes messing around with the prompt and trying out different variations can get you over a few obstacles in your flows. Sometimes you need to be more specific and other times there is such a thing as being too specific with your prompt.
Thank you @JacobR for your response. No the original view of the dashboard has no filters applied and shows the latest weeks details. And yes in my prompt I am saying retrieve the “Latest Available Data” and it mostly returns me 2025 week 37. When I specify the week saying something like 2026 week 10 it gives me some data from the dashboard it is able to retrieve data from time to time but not as detailed as it brings me 2025 week 37. Somehow it is stuck to that week.
Hi @Deniz_Arberk ,
How are you connecting your dashboard to the flow? What I mean is what kind of step are you using? I think you can connect in one of three ways. There is a ‘Dashboards and topics’ step where you can directly connect your dashboard to a specific step. The other two options involve adding your dashboard to a space. Then from there, you can either use the ‘Quick Suite data’ step and connect the space that has your dashboard there, or you can connect your space to a custom chat agent and then connect your custom chat agent to the ‘chat agent’ step in flows. In my opinion, the ‘dashboards and topics’ step might be the cleanest as it directly connects to your dashboard and doesn’t require it to be a space; however, with the custom chat agent, you can try to build in some of your prompt within its instructions.
I should also state that the AI features and functionalities have not been out for very long, so there may be limitations when working with them. With that said, it is my understanding that AWS is constantly working on these features, so what might be a limitation now may not be one in the future.
