The reader users I’ve created (in Ohio) are logging in and finding themselves in Virginia, so they don’t see any of our dashboards. They can change to Ohio, but they often don’t know to do this and think Quicksight is broken.
These are quicksight only users, they are not IAM users.
This isn’t a perfect solution, but there is a region in the login URL. You can send them a version of the URL that starts with us-east-1 and that should ensure they always sign in with the correct AWS region.
