Hi, I am building a dashboard where I want to use a Parameter in a text box.
Is there a limitation on the TYPE of parameter we can use in a Text Box? I can only see the parameters where the parameter is a DATE type. My other parameters are not available for a text box but I can use all other parameters for Table Headers or any other visual header.
Can someone please confirm this limitation? Thank you

I want to confirm something, when you say use it with a text box, do you mean a Text visual on the sheet or a text box control? I just want to make sure I am on the right track.
I know there are some limitations, are you using a multi value parameter or a single value parameter. In the text box visual, I am seeing options to add most of my parameters including String, Integer, and Datetime parameters. I do see though that I can’t use my multi value parameters though. I do also believe that you are required to have a default value when adding your parameter into a text box visual.

Yes. I meant the Text Box visual type.
And yes, the parameter is a multi value parameter which I am using a filter / control and I wanted some text in the Text Box visual to change as the filter changes. You are right, I can also see the single value parameters but not the multi value parameter.
Interestingly, I can use this multi-value parameter in the Title text description of the my Pivot visual.
My use case is quite simple actually.
I have a control filter with takes a parameter with three values, AMER, EMEA and APAC. I am using a parameter to filter out some data. I want the Text visual to show the region value based on which region the user checks in the control checklist.
Hello @umairbz, I know it has limited text size options, but an alternative you can implement would be to add an empty KPI where you use your multi value parameter as the title. You can format the title size and alignment and reduce the size to just display the title accordingly. I think that is the best option for a work-around on this. I will mark this as the solution, but if you have any follow-up questions, please let me know!
