Adding YTD column to Quicksight Report

Hey Guys,

I need to add a YTD column in my Quicksight Report.

  • Dataset: My dataset has multiple metrics:

  • Like MeteicA, MetricB and Each is calculated seperately for Weekly, Monthly , Quarterly.

  • At the end we have done a union of each granularity.

  • But 4 Metrics also had additional Yearly Grain available as well.

  • This dataset we are using in our report.

  • Now in QUICKSIGHT we have a Pivot Report.

  • This Report has a Filter to select granularity.

  • Once a User selects this filter the Metric value for all metrics is showed as per the value selected.

  • For Example: Is user selects Weekly then in Pivot Report we can see all metrics value by weekly for each year.

  • Now in this report I need to add a YTD column such that it shows at the end of the pivot report.

  • I cannot add a Total here as all metric don’t have same logic for YTD.

The best way for us to assist further would be for you to upload copy of your analysis with sample data to QuickSight Arena or could you attach screenshots on what exactly is needed, so that we can test out some possible solutions?
