I am creating a dashboard that has customized insights boxes with a lot of calculated fields and links. These will be updated regularly, so I’m wondering if there is an easy way to automate this process so that I do not have to manually update and add new calculated fields?
Hi Amy. Are you wondering if there is a way to automatically change out the calculated field used in the insights? Or could you provide some more information as to what you are looking to automate?
Thanks for the response. Essentially, I have a large list of inputs I am pulling from an excel spreadsheet. A user filters the dashboard and based on the filters, the insight box generates messages based on calculated formulas that have been inserted into the insight box. These are built using parameters and also include hyperlinks to outside sources.
Due to the nature of our organization, I am certain that this information will change regularly, so I’m hoping that there is an automated method (perhaps using code?) to update this to prevent errors once we go live with this dashboard.
I don’t believe this is possible at this time. I will communicate this as a feature request to the appropriate team. Thanks
