My barcharts aren’t filling up the available vertical space, this crunching them down unnecessarily. Is there a setting for this? I’ve lowered the x-axis as low as it will go without the labels getting cut off. When i raise it up, the top stays in the original position so the bars are just shorter.
So far I have tried:
subtitle off
no extra paragraph lines in the main title
the x-axis line is at the bottom without cutting off the labels.
Thanks @Mattthew_Nelson. I have it set to auto already, and this doesn’t seem to address the issue. I’m talking about all this white space at the top between the top of the bars and the title.
But my bar charts have a ton of white space between the top of the bars and title. These are all measuring different things, so they shouldn’t be on a shared scale. e.g., the left most measures in the millions, middle is thousands, and right is 10s.
And here, comparing a bar chart to a 100% stacked bar chart. The 100% stacked fits nicely to below the title, but the bar chart still has a massive white space on the top:
Hope everything is well with you! Just wanted to check in since this thread has not received a response in a while. Were you able to find a workaround to your spacing issue in the meantime or is the issue still occurring? If you still have any additional questions related to your initial post, please feel free to share them. Otherwise, any update you’re able to provide within the next 3 business days would be helpful for the community.
Thanks @WLS-Luis. No I haven’t found any solution for it, unfortunately. It forces bar charts and labels to look shrunken and cramped within a large white box which is awkward and not a great use of space. I hope this improves in the future. Thanks though!
Of course! Just in case, I would definitely recommend creating a support ticket with AWS Support, as they may be able to look into your use case further and see if this is due to an error/bug! If you do so, please feel free to message back on this thread if there is a solution/workaround that comes from it.
Since we haven’t received any further updates from you, I’ll treat this inquiry as complete for now. If you have any additional questions, feel free to create a new post in the community and link this discussion for context.
