Bug: Share Dashboard

Hello Experts,

There appears to be a change in the Share Dashboard search field that is causing a problem.

When I try to search for the users by typing in the search field it is converting my typed text to lower case. I know QuickSight is case sensitive when it comes to user names, but I have federated users with a specific naming convention, and this conversion of text to lower case causes the users not to be picked up.

The user groups are being searched even with lower case text and my user group being mixed case. Howerver, for individual users the search is failing

@Brett @Deep Can you see if you can re-produce this problem and raise this as a bug?

Regards,
Giri

Hello @Giridhar.Prabhu ,

Yes it does the text to be in lower case. However, would need to search users with registered email id of the user rather than the username.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Deep

Hi @Deep

I tried all that before reporting it as an issue.

My user name has two characters in upper case in the beginning and I think the search is failing due to this. I tried my complete email ID as well but that does not work either.

I know it worked in the past without issues.

Giri

hello @Giridhar.Prabhu ,

I tried at my end and it worked for me with the email id. I tried directly sharing the dashboard and also via the manage Asset and share the dashbaord.

If for you its not working i would recommend to reach AWS support.

Cheers,
Deep
