Calculated field - value at specific date and time minus same value at another date and time

Hi Quicksight Community,

I am quite new to Quicksight and I am trying to figure out how to have a calculated field or way so that I can have my value field at 8am today minus the same value field at 8am yesterday.

Actually I do not know how to do a calculated field to just show my value at a specific date or time. I only know how to do it if I use a filter function with a KPI.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

You need to go throug the documentation, how the calculation field work.

Hi Naveed, thank you very much for your reply. It does look like this function is what I was after.

One question, slightly off topic, if I were to take the average for a date time field in days, can I know from what time to what time is this day average? Is it from 12am to 12am the next day?

(Optional) The time period across which you’re computing the computation. Granularity of YEAR means YearToDate computation, Quarter means QuarterToDate, and so on. Valid granularities include YEAR, QUARTER, MONTH, WEEK, DAY, HOUR, MINUTE, and SECONDS.
