Can Amazon Quick Flow write output directly to S3?

I want to perform some steps in Amazon Quick Flow and store the output in an S3 bucket. Is direct write to S3 supported from Quick Flow? If yes, what are the required setup steps? If not, what is the recommended approach to achieve this?

Hi @MKB and welcome back to the Quick Community!

I have not personally done this but upon some research here is what I have found. I do not think Quick Flow supports direct write operations to S3 buckets. S3 action connectors, used in your ideal context, I think are only available in Quick Automate, not Quick Flow.

Quick Flow is designed for simpler, pre-defined workflows with a limited set of steps and integrations. Quick Automate is a more advanced automation platform that supports complex, multi-step workflows with full AWS service integrations, including S3 operations like uploading, downloading, and deleting files.

To store workflow outputs in S3, you’ll need to use Quick Automate instead of Quick Flow. S3 action connectors must be created through the admin console and enable you to perform supported operations. Note that the S3 integration in the regular integrations section is primarily for data ingestion and knowledge base creation, not for executing actions like file uploads. S3 action connectors maintain security through IAM role-based authentication, and you’ll need appropriate IAM permissions configured for S3 access.

For detailed setup instructions and configuration guidance, please refer to the following AWS documentation resources:

Hope this helps!
