QuickSight Community Article Guidelines

After submitting 3 one-sentence Amazon QuickSight Community article topic ideas to kmandia@amazon.com and receiving approval on 1, then proceed with writing the article, using the template below.

Content / Style

  • Max Word Count: 2,000 words (Target 400-2,000)
  • Must be
    • New and original content, not previously posted elsewhere
    • Skimmable
    • “How to” in style
  • Does not need to be a narrative (could include headers and bullets)
  • Must not mention competitors, specific partner customers or the market
  • Any dashboard links included in the article need to be maintained and kept active

Use Case and Problem

Include in this section:

  • 1 sentence intro, if needed. Ex: “This article shows…”
  • Prerequisites sub-section. Ex:” For this walkthrough, you should have the following prerequisites:“ [Include bulleted list.]
  • If you are using a data set as an example, provide an anonymized data set that can be downloaded from your website.

  • In the steps, include:
    • Code sample: Include calculated field formulas. Link to CloudFormation stack or GitHub repo if necessary.
