I am trying to connect Quicksight to Redshift via an IAM role. I was following the guide here, Run queries as an IAM role in Amazon QuickSight - Amazon QuickSight
and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOOu7KOb7NA
I seem to be getting stuck when trying to run the create-data-source command with a 302 error. The error message in the cli doesn’t really say much else. I don’t see an option to create a redshift connection from the console except with the uid and pw.
Wondering if there are any other documentation resources available.

Hello @stevegup, welcome to the QuickSight community!
I was looking through the documentation that you linked in your post and I was wondering, are you trying to establish the connection using the Public network connection type, or a VPC connection?
My initial thought is the permissions are not established on Redshift to allow QuickSight to access the data. I’ll link some documentation for that below. With a little more information, I can help guide you further. Thank you!
Did this solution work for you? I would recommend filing a case with AWS Support where we can dive into the details so that we can help you further. Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf. Hope this helps!
