Control shows All when there is only 1 option available

Hello,

I am having an issue with controls that when they have only one value it keeps giving me ‘All’. Is there anyway to get around this? It is a single select control and the user that sees the information only has 1 available option to select, however it says All in the dropdown. I have my control linked to a dataset and there are too many options to use the workaround with ‘Specific Fields’ to exclude All. Next to this I want to work with dynamic defaults when there multiple options to choose from. How to set the dynamic default value in the drop down filter? If a user logs in and has access to 3 options, the drop down should show one of the value as default value of the drop down (instead of all). How do I achieve this?

Any help is appreciated

Hi @NJK90,
Do you have the control setup as a parameter or did you just add a control for a filter?

To remove the ‘All’ option, you can go to edit your control and then check off the box shown below.

If it is set up as a parameter, you’ll want to make sure that you’ve set a default value so that it does not default to ‘All’.
To my understanding, dynamic defaults in terms of parameters can only be utilized with RLS setup. You can check out the article listed below for additional information.
