I’m wondering about the cost of calling the Snapshot job API for non-paginated reports. I understand that the standard paginated reports (now “pixel perfect” reports) give 500 units a month and then it costs 1$ for each unit above this. My question is, if I use the StartDashboardSnapshotJob API call to produce e.g. a CSV or Excel file (or even a PDF of a non-paginated report) does this count as one unit under the paginated reports pricing or simply as a “view” of the dashboard?
Great question! Use of the API will result in consumption of a Report Unit even if the target was a non-paginated report.
Hi @murili thanks for the info. Could you also provide a link to where this is documented?
Hi @GdooM,
It’s a bit difficult to find exactly where this information is documented but on this blog, it lists this export job as a new feature linked to the ‘pixel-perfect reporting’ subscription which implies that it’s part of that structure.
Let us know if you have any additional questions, if we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll close out this topic.
Thank you!
