When I try to make a user the co-owner of the analysis, I get the error message “Please promote the Reader to Author/Admin." When I go into the dashboard, however, I do not have the drop-down option to make the user the co-owner, only viewer.
Hi, You would be able to share an analysis only with a user who is either an Author or Admin. Readers would not be able to access analysis. If you are an admin you will be able to update the role of the user from Reader to Author from Manage QuickSight->Manage Users. Hope this helps.
