Dashboard maximized by default

I get an embeUrl using the Quick Sight SDK “GenerateEmbedUrlForAnonymousUserCommand”, and then setting the embed URL as the src of an iframe on the frontend.
The problem I’m having is that by default, the dashboard appears minimized.

and can only view it the way I want by clicking on the “maximized” option on the top right.
is there a way to show it maximized by default ?, what am I missing ?

Hi @FrancoAguilera and welcome to the Quick Sight community!

In your example shown, does your dashboard only have one visual?
When you embed your dashboard, it’s going to capture your entire workbook, which defaults to a specific sizing.
There’s no current feature that allows you to set a visual to maximized size by default but if you’re just you’re just looking to embed one visual; you can choose the ‘embed visual’ option from your dashboard view, just click the ellipses in the top right corner of your visual:

Maybe I didn’t quite understand your answer properly, I mean… is that something I need to configure on aws Quick Sight, or is something I need to do from the client side (basically making click on the top right options) ?

is not clear for me what your saying about “When you embed your dashboard, it’s going to capture your entire workbook, which defaults to a specific sizing.“

Hi @FrancoAguilera,

You can select the ‘embed visual’ option from the dashboard view in Quick Sight.

When you create a dashboard view, it creates a default size of your analysis, and if you do not have enough visuals to fill that size, you’ll end up with blank space (like the graphic you shared in the original post). It will not automatically enlarge your visuals if there is extra space.

As you see in the example above, even though I remove the pie chart visual from my analysis, when I create a dashboard, I’m still presented with the ‘extra space’ that’s not been filled with visualizations. Since you receive the ‘full window’ view when embedding your dashboard, that’s why I suggested embedding the visual only instead of full dashboard.
