Dataset refresh bug

Hello all,

We just chnaged the sql user password on our RDS. I then chnaged it on the datasource. To my surpise , all datasets created using this datasource are still failing with password issue. I am puzzled. I do not want to drop and recreate the datasets. That is just too much work. I do not even see datasets queries now. Has anyone faced this ssue before?
Any help is appreciated.

Rohit

Hi @kochar

As I understand there are two steps in updating the datasource.

  1. You input all required fields and then click the Validate Connection to check if things are working fine.
  2. If all went fine you click the Update data source button to save the changes.

If you did these two then dataset refresh should work fine. Can you double check the datasource using the Validate Connection again to see if it is working? If not can you share what error you are getting ?

Giri

hi @kochar - When you update your password, update the data source connection and test the connectivity. If that works, then i believe all data sets should work. As suggested by @Giridhar.Prabhu , please share the error screenshot to understand the issue in detail.

Hello Community
I still see the same issue. I chnaged the datasource password but dataset keeps failing to refresh.
I verified the dataspurce connection and it works fine. What could be the reason?

Hi @kochar,
If you are still encountering this same issue, I would suggest creating a support ticket to get more in depth assistance from the support team as they will have more access to better support a case like this.
