Date Parameter in Quick Sight Custom SQL

I have a situation, where I am using a Redshift view as a Quick Sight dataset through direct query mode. But facing an issue with DATE as a parameter for that in the visualization which comes as an input from dashboard consumer. Is it possible to pass DATE as a parameter in Quick Sight custom SQL from dashboard from the end user so that the necessary calculations occur through the query with DATE as the parameter?

Yes you should be able to with the new feature they rolled out of parameters to datasets.
