I’m currently facing an issue that previously I had created a VPC connection, it did create a network interface in my VPC.
Few days ago, I just unsubscribe the QuickSight services and when I’m trying to clean up some unused resources, I found that the network Interface VPC connection created is still there. I try to delete the network interface but it seems to attached status so it failed.
But when I’m trying to detach it, I am getting below error
The network interface can’t be detached
Network interface is in use by another service and is of type quicksight
Yes, I tried using the “Force Detachment” option before. But it does not seems working. As I click “Enable”, the detach button still won’t work for me.
Unfortunately, as per second suggestion. I had already cancelled / unsubscribe the QuickSight services at the DEV environment and move it to STG environment, hence would not be able to have direct access to the VPC Connection anymore.
Because you need access to that DEV environment I would recommend creating an AWS support ticket for this issue.
Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf. Hope this helps!
