I created an alert based on a calculated field in a pivot table. I want to send an email when threshold is equal to 1, every time my dataset is schedule to be refresh i receive an email of alert turned off without reason. I couldn’t find any article related to this error.
Hi @jmanuelgonzalez - Welcome to AWS QuickSight community and thanks for posting the question. Can you please check the Notification preference in the alert configuration. As per document, following are allow values and depending upon your requirement, set the value.
- As frequently as possible - This option alerts you whenever the threshold is breached. If you choose this option, you might get alerts multiple times a day.
- Daily at most - This option alerts you once per day when the threshold is breached.
- Weekly at most - This option alerts you once per week when the threshold is breached.

Hi Sanjeeb, thanks for your answer. My alert was configured to alert me as frequently as possible, but every time the SPICE dataset was refreshed it caused an error: ‘Alert turned off → Alert … : equals 1 has been turned off due to an issue. View the dashboard to turn on the alert.’
I would really like to know what is causing this error and how can i solve it to make it work. There is data in my visual (pivot table) and i have full permissions for dashboard and dataset.
