Error: 'Unable to save and publish dataset' when saving and publishing QuickSight dataset after modifications

We recently switched our RDS data source from a public network to a private network. During this transition, we encountered an error while trying to save and publish the modified dataset in QuickSight.

Here are the steps that led to the error:

  1. We deleted the old RDS tables used in joins within the dataset.
  2. We added the new RDS tables from the private network.
  3. Upon trying to save and publish the updated dataset, we received the error ‘Unable to save and publish dataset’.

As shown in the attached image, we removed the old datasets and added the new ones. Despite seeing the data in the data preview, which confirms that the data joins are correct, we still encountered the error. No changes were made to the existing data structure.

Could we get some assistance in resolving this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @9haeng - Can you please update the permission of the dataset. Please see the below documentation for the same. Looks like the user do not have adequate permission to save and publish the dataset.
