Event based date range data needed in a graph

I’m looking for some quicksight help.
I am current using event based data that creates a new record when something in the previous record changes. For this reason, my data could be valid for a year or a second. In this data, I have monetary values that are relevant during that time period but I need to get them on a graph that shows the total of that monetary value at the end of every day. x-axis days of the month, y-axis total monetary value at the time.

For example if one record starts on the 01/04/2024 and ends on the 15/04/2024 but another could the 02/04/2024 to the 05/04/2024 and I want them to contribute to the total on all the dates in-between, not just the start or end date.

I need a simple way of doing this, cause the ask in the future could be to do something similar hourly, or weekly etc.

Anyone know of a good way to approach this sort of data in quick sight.

Hi @clara92 , welcome to the Quick Sight community. Can you please provide some sample data with couple of rows. Is their a different date column that is part of the x-axis or do you want to use the record start or end date for your x-axis?
