[Feature Request] Find fields used in analysis

Hi @Brett , @DylanM , @Xclipse

I have found myself in this situation on quite a few occasions when dealing with dataset changes.

I look over some legacy datasets and our SPICE dataset size increased over time and as I review these datasets I see opportunity to get rid of fields that I think are probably not in use. But the research of whether the field is in use in a visual, calculated field, filter, parameter control is a labourious manual exercise.

I looked around in the community and see that users have raised this a few times and the same has problably been raised as a feature request. I am adding another request from my side to have this ability as a standard feature of the product.

If there are ways I can do it through any other means please suggest. Describe Analysis CLI command is helpful but is still too much work to get to the information.

The metadata is available and you have the flexibility to build your solution based on your requirements. Here is a blog regarding the same : Enhance data governance through column-level lineage in Amazon QuickSight | AWS Business Intelligence Blog

Hi @Koushik_Muthanna

I reviewed the blog.

My personal opinion is that is a solution that involves too many additional technologies to get some basic details from QuickSight.

I have to invest time to learn some of this stuff to understand how things work. It would also mean I have to incur cost on Glue, S3 etc.

I would still expect it could be a simpler out of the box feature.

Thanks for the feedback. I will mark this as a feature request
