I’m looking to create an insight visual, on a dashboard, using the API. I’ve had a look in the documentation and was wondering how the custom field ID in the value part of computations are generated?

I don’t know how they are generated but I’m pretty sure you can use the describe api to get a list of them.
Hi Max, sorry to be late following up on this.
I’ve attempted to use the describe_data_set endpoint, but all of my ‘FieldFolders’ are empty. Are field folders something which have to be configured separately?
I couldn’t see any other field related things in the response. As far as I can see there is no option to describe these on the analysis or dashboard level.
My use case here, is that I am attempting to create a dashboard for a new client, with the same set of visuals. So, I require the field IDs from the new dataset/dashboard in order to have the insight configured properly.
