Filter refresh issue

We have filter called Category,
When new Category imported, user have to click on ‘Refresh’ option to see the new Category in the dashboard.
Please advise.

Are you using SPICE or direct query?

SPICE should take this away unless you are looking at the dashboard as a Category get’s imported.

We are using Direct Query

The direct query filters are refreshed automatically every 24hours ( Refreshing data in Amazon QuickSight - Amazon QuickSight , Search in link : 24 hours )
