Filters Not Working on different dataset

I have two datasets. Dataset A and Dataset B. I create two filters from Dataset B, Filter 1 and Filter 2; while create a visual in Dataset A. Filter 2 is showing relevant values based on Filter 1 (this works). However, the visual that I created in Dataset A is not showing the correct value based on Filter 2.

The example below is that
“Sunshine Coast” as our Filter 1 in Dataset B → "Gibsons,… " as our Filter 2 in Dataset B. The correct distinct count should be 10, and not 4000 (which is the total distinct count of Dataset A), even though filter 2 is showing the things we want to see from filter 1

What other approaches that i can fix this?

Hi @Jane

is the filter linked to the visual?

You can try to create a parameter (control), one filter for each dataset/visual and link it to the parameter.

Yes, filter A and filter B has its own parameter, and they are linked to the visual, but when select all from the list, shows the total distinct count of whole dataset, and not only for those cities
