Hey everyone, I am trying to set up Dashboards for other individuals in my company. Currently I am trying to put a filter in the onto the entire dashboard itself and for it to remove itself from an option on a list. However when I am doing so, it is just de-selecting from the list itself and not removing it from the dashboard completely.

do I got it right. You want to remove “Charleston Meals” completely from the drop-down?
If so, you have to filter out the element on dataset level. But then it’s “gone” for all analysis using the dataset.

Correct, I am trying to filter it out from the Data set however when I do that in the screenshot it is just filtering it on the actual visual and can still see it. Thoughts on how to take it out from Dataset? The system is new to us

your screenshot looks like you are creating a filter within analysis.
You have to go to the dataset area (start screen), edit the dataset and add a filter direct on dataset.
