At AWS, our roadmap is primarily driven by customers, so thank you for your feedback. I have noted this in our internal feature request tracker, but what you can do is create a custom visual and embed it through using custom visual content. You will need to be hosted where http is supported (like iframe), meaning you can host in S3 or over the web, which will require you to manage it securely.
