Highlight specific fields within Quicksight Pivot

Im am not sure how to achieve the following and hope someone can provide guidance…

We would like to simply highlight certain fields within a QuickSight pivot. the fields are text.

I saw that conditional formatting only applies to values, not text.

Suggestions?

Hi @icrashcars - Welcome to AWS QuickSight community and thanks for posting the question. Yes, you are correct the conditional formatting is applicable to values or measures in the pivot table.

Hi @Biswajit_1993 @David_Wong @SD_QS - Is there anyway we can highlight the text field in Pivot table with some conditions. If not, can we put it as a feature request down the line. Please advise.

HI @icrashcars ,

Currently QuickSight is not provide any conditional formatting for field name . But you can achieve this by hiding the headers and and in the place of headers just create the required number of text field and format the field name.

Step-1

In the below Table Visual type formatting options just remove the tick mark of show headers.

Step -2
Create the field name as Text box with the below color formatting.

Segment - RED
Service Line - Green
Cost - BLUE

Step -3
Then put all the custom created Text box as Table header.
Now the dashboard look like this

Is it fine for you or you required something else please revert back.
