How do i display the current username in the report

Do we have any provision to get the current user name in the report so that we can print the name of the user and the date/time of the report generation?

Hi @Vishy - This is an interesting question and not sure whether we can achieve it via narratives but I did not find any place for the same.

I’ve done it in report titles by using parameters. In my case the reader uses the report to view their own data and there’s a field in the dataset that contains their name. I use a dynamic default for my parameter.

@Vishy Is your use case the same?

Hi @David_Wong - Thanks, in your case the user name field is part of the data set. Is there way we can get these information from system level?

Hi @Vishy - Can you please check David’s suggestion on user name. Are you looking for selecting the user data then parameter can help. If you simply want to put the user name as Title, it is not possible.

Hi @Max - Can we put a feature request any system level information can be displayed as system variables like user name, timestamp etc, please provide your suggestion on this.
