How Do You Delete an Alert for a Dashboard That is Already Deleted?

Hi,

we have been experimenting with threshold alerts in our company.

They have a lot of functions missing from their implementation which have been flagged as feature requests for a long time now (> 1 year), e.g. centralised alert management for user groups or other users.

However my issues is really a bug:

During all the experimentation and trying to work around the Quicksight alerting limitations I created a dashboard and added an alert to that dashboard. I then deleted the dashboard by mistake. Unfortunately I am still receiving the alert, which should have been deleted with the dashboard. I get an email with the following wording

The ‘View Dashboard’ link is to the dashboard that does not exist any more. How do I delete the alert?

Hi @conrad.winchester - This is strange. Can you please raise a ticket to aws customer support team so that they can check this issue. Ideally when you deleted the dashboard, the alert associated with dashboard should have been deleted as well. To raise the request, please follow the link - Creating support cases and case management - AWS Support
