QuickSight doesn’t have the concept of an Apply button for Readers quite yet. We will pass this information to the product team for roadmap consideration.

Im assuming your question is related to performance? Like you dont want to run a query each time a filter selection is made?

Thanks Jesse for your information this is a very simple things that Quick Sight does not offered. Because of this simple things the customer also feel very complex when they use the dashboard filter.
e.g. - When you select a data point from your respective filter without any apply button then at that time it showing blank for overall dashboard. So kindly take action on this and on the coming updated version please add this apply button.

Yes Joana but still we are waiting this functionalities from the QuickSight development team.
