In qs, parameters using Direct Query do not automatically refresh, requiring manual updates by users, which can lead to a suboptimal user experience. This issue has been noted in previous discussions and remains unresolved. A potential workaround is to reset the QuickSight cache periodically, which might help in refreshing the dashboard. However, QuickSight does not provide a built-in feature to automatically reset the cache at regular intervals, such as every 10-15 minutes. As a workaround, you could consider implementing a scheduled process outside of QuickSight to refresh the data source or trigger a cache reset, if supported by your data source, to ensure more frequent updates.
