How to set default knowledge scope for embedded Quick chat agent on Website?

We have embedded a Quick chat agent into our website. Currently, the agent’s knowledge scope defaults to “All data and Apps” when users interact with it.

We would like to configure the embedded agent so that it defaults to “Specific data and Apps” with our predefined knowledge base selection instead.

Is there a configuration option or parameter available during the embedding process that allows us to set this default knowledge scope?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @jiayifu and welcome to the Quick Community!
Are you familiar with one of the other new assets, ‘Spaces’? They allow you to create defined areas that can connect to specific knowledge bases; which you can then build a custom agent that’s specifically linked to that space. That way, it’s only referring to the designated assets that are connected to that space.

Here’s some additional information about Spaces but I would suggest creating one and then creating a secondary Agent that’s only linked to that space.

The default agent that automatically gets created for an account (often gets referred to as ‘My Assistant’) will generally default to ‘All Data & Apps’. Additionally, you’re not able to link them up to knowledge bases as you can’t go back and edit the default one as you can with other created agents.

One quick note on this Q&A, in order for the Embedded Agent to use specific Spaces by default. The Spaces needed to be link to the Agent at creation time. If the Space is linked after the Agent is created, it will still be pointing to “All data and Apps” for the embedded agent.
