I have a table with about 5 columns of data, but hundreds - thousands of rows. How can i show only the top 10 most recent rows of data, which i would then sort by x field descending, but at the same time i dont want it grouped by that field?
I have tried the top/bottom filter but it just doesn’t seem to work, and even when it does (usually when i do top 1), it’s still grouped by a field.
this is the table, i’ve blocked sensitive data:
And i have filtered ‘code’ to top 4, by ‘code’
The code field is a unique field, so how come even then it is showing hundreds of records back to me although i filtered to top 4?
Hi,
Try this filter option and customised according to you requirements.

Naveed Ali.
Hi Naveed, as i said above, i tried this filter and i don’t quite understand it. It is returning hundreds of records even when i filter to top 5 or top 10. I filtered it based on ‘Code’ which is a unique value for each case. So when i filter to top 5, how come it still shows hundreds of records?
Hi @HarveyB-B, please can you create a sample dashboard with sample dataset showing your problem state using Arena and please create a new post, so we can look at it from a fresh perspective. (Details on using Arena can be found here - QuickSight Arena).
