In a pivot table, I would like to show the values and the totals in different formats. For example, I would like the Totals shown in percentage and the values in a different unit (in my case, bps).
In the below example (portion of a table), everything is in bps , but I would like the Totals shown in %.
Can it be done without using an extra calculated field?

I do not think this is natively possible to change the total format resulting from the same measure. you may need to use custom field or similar chart with desired format of the measure that is being used.
typically for changing the format or styles related to totals /sub totals are limited to changing labels names, positions, size, colors etc.
