How to understand "Reader Pro" pricing?

Is the “QuickSight Q questions Capacity pricing” inclusive of asking Topics on Q, meaning it provides the same functionality of “Reader Pro”?

As far as i understand, Author pro/Reader pro is not yet available (coming soon). Most likely will come into effect once (Amazon Q) GenBI capability becomes Generally available since its currently in preview. ( example - Data stories, executive summary etc)

* Users licensed as Author Pro or Reader Pro get all benefits included in the Amazon Q Business plan.

  • Users with Amazon Q Business plan licenses can enjoy all Reader Pro benefits in QuickSight. An upgrade to the Author Pro license is available for an additional $30/month.
  • Generative BI capabilities for Author Pro and Reader Pro are available in preview with existing QuickSight Q subscriptions at no extra charge. A 30-day free trial is available.
  • Accounts with Author Pro or Reader Pro licenses are charged a $250/month enablement fee.

Hi Deep, I am looking for further guidance on this question now that GenAI features are generally available. If an account is using capacity-based pricing, does that mean all readers can get the features of a “Reader Pro” for only the capacity-based price?

No its not the case, you can also avail genBI capability with user based pricing. I would recommend to open a new thread so that any one can answer and get benefit from the solution provided as well.
