Include Dimension Name as a property in CloudWatch metrics

There are several topics about this issue from the last year:

• Is there a way in cloudwatch to change the label of the automatic dashboards by its common name and not its dashboard id? - #3

Is this feature request in progress, or at least in the roadmap? As previous authors said, I can’t identify easily my dashboards by the id.
