Is it possible to make an interactive dashboard on quicksight? I have a column called ‘stage’, and let’s say there are 4 stages: A, B, C, D. I want to add four buttons on the dashboard, and when clicked, it shows the table only with the selected stage.
Hi @hojungkim,
This can be achieved through the free-form layout. If not in free form, you can adjust this by going to ‘Edit’ at the top menu, selecting ‘Analysis Settings’ and adjusting under ‘Sheet Layout’.
In terms of setting up, there is a way to create buttons but the process involves a number of steps to create a work around as there’s no default button option.
An easier and quicker way you could achieve your outcome would be to use conditional rules, see below for the steps.
If you already have a field setup for ‘Stage’, you’ll use that as your filter, so setup a Parameter for Stage.
Then, on each of your tables, you’ll setup a rule to trigger which visual will populate. In the properties for the visual, switch over to ‘interactions’, expand ‘Rules’ and select ‘Add Rule’.
Select Stage as your parameter, then complete the rest of the options.
Repeat this step for each of your visuals.
Let me know if this works for what you’re trying to achieve or if you have any additional questions!
