Is Calculated Field is a Measure or Dimension in Quicksight?

Hi, I have created 4 calculated fields like below

Convert to dimension – option to ParseDecimal fields ( Why it is not showing Convert to Measure )

Is it by defualt or it is beahviour of QS. ( But all are Calculated Fields, right? )

Measure Vs Dimension, how these are defined to the calculated fields by default?

If we change dimension to measure , are there performance issues will happen? or any visual will break?

Any numeric data by default would be treated as a measure. But if you think it is to be treated as a Dimension you can convert as such.

If your field is considered as a measure then you can convert to Dimension. If it is a dimension then you can convert to Measure.

Conversion from dimension to measure or vice-versa may have an impact on existing visuals. For example, if you had a value in the measure but you change it to dimension then the visual can not work as the measures have aggregate functions applied to them.

I am not too sure about the Performance issues. That is something we need to test and see.
