Issue with data display on "Points ON Map" for Canada States

For Canada , different states showing within the same circle on “Points ON Map” as you can see below BC and ON both appearing under ON. I would like to see two different circle. It is working find for US states.

In this case, BC and ON appearing under BC

Hi @RAHUL_singh1

I think there is a bug that is causing this issue if you are using Longitude and Latitude as Geospatial data.

I raised a ticket and here’s the response from AWS on this

Hi Girdhar, No, I am not using, Longitude and Latitude as Geospatial data.
I am using location name.

Hi Team, Any thought! let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @RAHUL_singh1,
It’s been awhile since last communication took place on this thread, are you still encountering the same issue or were you able to find a work around?

One thing to consider, have you tried adding a geospatial hierarchy? This may help with determining that these are states located in Canada

Hi @Brett thanks for you response. No, I could not found any workaround.

I tried that as well but did not work. Please see the screen print below.

I see the same problem with Canada province abbreviations. In hierarchy, Country, City, Postal Code all work, but State does not resolve to individual provinces.

Hi @RAHUL_singh1,
This may be an issue with QS not recognizing provinces as states in this scenario. I would suggest creating a support ticket for this case so that the AWS support team can provide more in depth assistance.
