Currently we are working on connecting jira to quicksight and build dashboard out of it .
Step 1 : connecting to jira was successful from aws quicksight
Step 2 : we could see the below 2 —- issues and projects.
I’m trying to bring in all the issues of a project along with sprint details, however most of the fields have null data but I have updated the same in Jira.
For instance ; In issues table there is a column called Sprints, Epic_Name; but there is no data for those fields.
1.After creating datasource I was able to see below default tables(issues, projects) and could not see custom fields. I want to see sprint details such as sprint name, sprint date, sprint state such as active or closed for all issues of a Project in Jira. But I could not see it here.
Even after adding more tables, the values are null.
Is there any other way to connect Jira to QuickSight and visualize or please do suggest us how to bring in the custom fields as well.
Hi @Kripa - Welcome to AWS QuickSight and thanks for posting the question. In your screenshot, can you select one the table and select preview option to see the data or not.
Since Jira is SaaS and integration with QuickSight may not be simple and straight forward, to investigate this kind of issues, i will advise you to submit a ticket to AWS customer support team so that they can have a chime session and see the details.
