See the graph below that has various data line that just come to an end on the line graph. I want them to display a straight line across where there is no change in data to the end of the line graph. Is this possible?
Hi @ZacA - Welcome to the community. Your question pertains to strategies for tackling missing data. I am assuming that your dataset does not have values for those periods where the visual has not plotted. You have a couple of options on how to manage the visual for missing data that you can review. You can also prepare the dataset in a certain way that you donβt have missing data.
Thanks @awsvig for your input. Unfortunately following the link you sent does not resolve my problem. I have already plotted it as a continuous line.
I am currently using SPICE data to capture my number of users over time with various years worth of experience. Right now the data points do not finish at the end of the graph which makes it troublesome to view complete data where there is no data for a particular date.
@ZacA β What will be the desired behavior for your visualization when there is no data in the data set for that particular date?
Hi @awsvig - Ideally I would like the line to flat line at the value that it last met
Hi @ZacA β At AWS, our roadmap is primarily driven by our customers. Your feedback helps us build a better service. I have tagged this as a feature request.
As a workaround, you can explore getting the desired values into the dataset to match what you want to visualize.
Click on the format visual, go to the y axis and try this shown in screenshot:
