Logging in from tablet Redirects to IAM login for non-IAM users

Hello QuickSight Community,

We are having trouble after doing some testing today on QuickSight for tablets. We attempted to login using our QuickSight logins on the tablet but once we enter our user names we are redirected to the IAM login screen. However, these are QuickSight accounts and not IAM accounts so we cannot login this way.

This only happens on tablets. The logins work on laptops and desktops. Additionally, the same problem occurs on the QuickSight application on tablets.

Has anyone experienced this error before? Does anyone know how to login to QS with a QS login on a tablet?

I would recommend creating a support ticket with AWS for this issue. Here are the steps to open a support case. If your company has someone who manages your AWS account, you might not have direct access to AWS Support and will need to raise an internal ticket to your IT team or whomever manages your AWS account. They should be able to open an AWS Support case on your behalf. Hope this helps

Hey @duncan,

I put in a support ticket with AWS and they helped solve the issue. Interestingly, when logging into QuickSight with a QuickSight managed login the emails are case-sensitive! So our tablets were capitalizing the email logins for the QuickSight managed logins and since QuickSight couldn’t find the logins it assumed they were IAM logins.

Main takeaway being when entering logins into QuickSight make sure it matches from a case-sensitive perspective.
